I am a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC-IRB). I am also the Founder and Principal Consultant of Aclara Immigration Services, based in Toronto, with an additional office in Bangladesh. In addition, I serve as a Commissioner of Oaths (Ontario) and an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. I bring over a decade of combined legal experience in both Canada and Bangladesh. With academic foundations in law from the University of London (LL.B) and Cardiff University (LL.M), I have been assisting individuals and families with immigration matters in Canada for many years, following years of legal advocacy in Bangladesh.

She is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC-IRB), a Commissioner of Oaths in Ontario, and an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, bringing more than a decade of cross-border legal and advocacy experience.

Her professional career began in Bangladesh, where she practiced as an Advocate before the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, with a focus on admiralty law, constitutional writs, corporate and commercial disputes, arbitration, and civil and criminal litigation. This litigation-intensive background provided her with a rigorous command of legal analysis, evidence, and advocacy. Since transitioning to Canada in 2018, she has devoted her practice exclusively to immigration and refugee law, managing temporary and permanent residence applications, refugee claims, humanitarian and compassionate submissions, and appeals before the Immigration and Refugee Board.

As the Founder and Director of Aclara Immigration Services, Sharmin provides strategic leadership and oversight on complex immigration matters. She supervises case preparation, mentors caseworkers, and ensures that every file is handled with precision, integrity, and cultural sensitivity.

Sharmin’s international exposure and sustained engagement with immigration law have deepened her understanding of migrant experiences, cultural contexts, and cross-border realities, enabling her to advocate effectively for clients from diverse regions. As an avid traveler, she has explored the world firsthand, fostering a unique ability to connect authentically with clients from all corners of the globe and better understand the journeys that bring them to her practice.
