Nabil's legal foundation was established in the United Kingdom, where he was called as a Barrister of England and Wales in 2009 after completing the Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (Bar Vocational Course) from City University London. He further strengthened his academic credentials with an LL.M. in Legal Practice from Nottingham Trent University, UK in 2015 and an LL.M. in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in 2022.
As an Advocate before the Supreme Court of Bangladesh since 2012, Nabil developed expertise in civil litigation, commercial arbitration and mediation, constitutional law, and administrative law. His practice involved representing clients in complex litigation and appearing before various statutory tribunals. As an accredited mediator, he also contributed to the legal community by conducting workshops on commercial arbitration and mediation, sharing practical insights with fellow practitioners.
Nabil's immigration to Canada in 2020 marked a strategic expansion of his legal career. Prior to his qualification as a Barrister and Solicitor, he served as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), and a member of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC), membership No.R707106. He developed comprehensive expertise in federal and provincial immigration programs, family sponsorship, business immigration, and refugee matters. This experience provided valuable insight into the Canadian legal landscape and the specific challenges faced by individuals and businesses navigating the system.
As Director of Aclara Immigration Services, a practice he co-owns with his life partner Sharmin Alam, Nabil established a reputation for delivering personalized legal solutions with cultural sensitivity and professional excellence. He specializes in securing study permits and other temporary residence visas, particularly in cases where the application has been refused. He has considerable experience in Economic Class immigration programs, including the Federal Skilled Workers Program, as well as Spousal Sponsorship under Family Class Immigration. Nabil utilizes his knowledge and experience of business law to provide practical and pragmatic solutions to his clients in business immigration matters.
Nabil's legal practice is characterized by meticulous analysis, strategic problem-solving, and clear communication. Fluency in English, Bengali, and Hindi enables him to serve a diverse clientele with both technical precision and cultural understanding. Drawing on his international legal background, Nabil helps clients navigate complex legal challenges while anticipating and addressing cross-jurisdictional implications.
Nabil is the former founding partner of Eden Chambers, a reputed corporate law office based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Earlier, he worked as an Associate Lawyer at A.F. Hassan Arif & Associates under the guidance and mentorship of Mr. A.F. Hassan Ariff, the former Attorney General for Bangladesh. Nabil has acted as legal counsel in complex and landmark constitutional matters and major local and international commercial arbitration matters.
He has a flair for teaching and motivating others, having successfully completed the training of trainers (TOT) course on Arbitration conducted by the International Law Institute (ILI), Washington. Nabil is also an accredited mediator, having completed a 40-hour accreditation program conducted by the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), Delhi. He worked as an ad-hoc resource person for Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC), conducting day-long workshops and seminars on commercial arbitration and mediation. He conducted a two-day workshop on arbitration as a trainer in Kunming, China in 2019. Earlier, he conducted sessions on arbitration law and procedure at ICC Workshop on International Trade Finance, ADR, Logistics, and Business Development in Hanoi, Vietnam in 2016. Nabil was invited to speak as a keynote speaker on Tort Law and Corporate Accountability at Think Legal Bangladesh Corporate and Commercial Law Conference in 2018. He was former faculty of the London College of Legal Studies and Newcastle Law Academy, Dhaka, teaching Contract Law and the English Legal System to undergraduate Law Students.
Nabil is a creative person who, in his spare time, loves to take photographs. He has a flair for creating content on social media and maintains a YouTube channel and Facebook page of his own, where he loves to motivate and inform people about the life and culture of Canada.
